Making matcha at home is surprisingly simple.
Add 2,5g (about 1 teaspoon) of matcha to a bowl.
Add 30 ml hot water, about 70° and whisk until smooth and slightly frothy.
Add about 170ml of milk for matcha latte.
THE MATCHA
In the café we’ve spent quite some time experimenting to find the way we like matcha best.
For iced matcha we whisk the powder with a little warm water until silky smooth, then pour it over ice and milk. For hot matcha we sift the powder directly into cold milk, whisk it and steam it gently on our espresso machine.
Maybe you'll notice we don't do latte art, that's because we like our matcha to be a silky smooth experience from the first sip to the last.
The ceremonial matcha we use comes from Kagoshima, Japan — the same matcha you can bring home.
